It’s not too late for Governor Fayose to step in on Moji Olaiya’s issue – Yomi Fabiyi

Famous actor cum film maker, Yomi Fabiyi, who is the publicity secretary for the burial committee of late beautiful actress, Moji Olaiya, has spoken point blank that the committee has no reason to seek any support from Ekiti government concerning the burial of the popular thespian who bid this sinful world farewell on Thursday, May 18, 2017, as All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stepped in, even beyond expectations.

Fabiyi said this on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, while having a chat with encomium.ng on the update concerning Ekiti government issue as regards whether the committee has finally submitted a request letter to the Governor, Ayodele Fayose as directed and advised by his Special Assistant  on Publicity and New Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka.

According to Fabiyi, “There is no point sending any letter to Ekiti government for financial support on the issue of our dear colleague and sister, Moji Olaiya, since Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come in. He has even done more than enough. Many thanks to him. The onus now falls on Governor Fayose as number one indigene of Ekiti state which Moji Olaiya was its Cultural Ambassador till death, to also do something tangible if he deems it fit. He can even give Moji’s children scholarship and all that, he will surely be appreciated by the family. Not that we’re compelling the governor to do anything, but if he wants to he’s very much welcomed.

“The committee didn’t write any letter to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tnubu before he did what he did and so also other kind hearted individuals who contributed their quotas. It’s a case of emergency which must be quickly attended to, and we thank God everything concerning that has been sorted out. But just like I said, Governor Fayose can still come in whatever measure even after the burial, his effort will still be appreciated.

“However, we still hold Governor Fayose in high esteem. And whatever statement or hearsay that might have amounted to the disregard of the governor did not emanate from us as a committee. Whoever that might have done anything of such did it in his or her volition.”
