Iya Kike 6: ‘Her prayer and advise keep me going’ – Oluwabiyi Anthony Boyede (step son-in-law)

How would you describe her as a step mother to your wife?

She was a step mother to my wife and I have been married to my wife now like two years. But I knew her before I married my wife. She was fantastic, she was humble but not very humble. She was strict but not very strict. As a mother she wanted the best for her children.

For the little I know about her, I know she did well. She always attended to me very nicely when I came around. She advises me, especially on my birthday. She always called me and prayed for me, but I know that she did that to everybody because mama knew everyone’s birthday.

Were you there when she died?

I was few blocks away.

How does it feel losing her?

It is so pathetic, because I never thought she’d die now. It is very painful because I feel this is the time she should enjoy her life.

What will you miss most about her?

I will miss many things, especially now that there is no body for me to call big mummy.
