Iyabo Ojo denies fighting Fathia Balogun at Toyin Aimakhu’s wedding, ‘It’s a cheap blackmail’

Famous thespian, Iyabo Ojo has debunked social media reports that she was engaged in a show of shame with a senior colleague, Fathia Balogun, at Toyin Aimakhu’s wedding on Monday, July 8, 2013. She added that it’s nothing but malicious and stupid. She further described the report as unthinkable.

Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, July 13, 2013, the sultry actress expressed total discomfort about the story, labelling those sponsoring it as cheap blackmailers.

“In the first place, how can Aunty Fathia and I be fighting? Over what? Besides, how can I address some one that is older than me with about 10 years as my age mate. That’s not in my character. It’s uncultured.

I can’t do that and I have never called her by name, I always address her as my aunty. So, I don’t know where and how the story emanated.”

“Also, it’s malicious to say that we fought at our colleague’s wedding. We only argued on one issue and that was all. Nothing like fight. Even, we just finished speaking on phone. We just laughed off the story because there is no iota of truth in it.

Those saying we are quarrelling will be shocked when they see her on August 4, 2013, at the opening of my outfit, Faspris. It’s all lies.”

ENCOMIUM Weekly’s efforts in getting Fathia’s reaction couldn’t yield the desired result as her mobile phone was off. We also sent her a text message, all to no avail.

THIS STORY WAS FIRST PUBLISHED IN ENCOMIUM WEEKLY ON TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2013
