Kashamu steps-up Ogun East Senatorial tour, assures grassroots dev.

Chairman, Mobilisation of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest, Prince Kashamu Buruji, at the weekend continued his senatorial tour of Ogun East as he assured the people of the district of urgent rural development.

Kashamu, who is contesting for Ogun East Senatorial seat on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party spoke at Ogun Waterside local government area of the state during his senatorial tour of the zone saying the rural area in the zone, needs urgent and prompt development. Kashamu canvassing for grassroots development because he was so much concerned about the people living in the rural areas of the zone.

He argued that his party, PDP has always taken the interest of rural communities at heart. He stressed further that he will better the lots of the people the more if elected into the National Assembly.‎

The PDP leader expressed appreciation at the massive turnout at the rally, adding that it indicated people at the grassroots are ready for PDP. “PDP is ready to win at all levels in the state.”

He maintained ‎the era of All Progressives Congress (APC) led government was over in the state.

“APC government is only interested in awarding contracts in the urban areas without considering the people at the grassroots”, he added.

He noted that if President Jonathan and PDP win in the coming elections, Waterside area of the state would witness wonders.

However, governorship candidate of the party, Prince Gboyega Isiaka, who also spoke at the event said it was a known fact that Ogun Waterside local area is a major town and is the economic hub of the state.

That the present government did not explore the economic value of the zone, adding that all what APC government did was to be awarding contracts in the urban area.

He said ‎the Amosun led government should have known how the Olokola Free Trade Zone would have contributed to the development of the state, mostly in the area of employment and revenue generation.

He added that PDP government started the project during former governor Gbenga Daniel. “By the grace of God if elected next governor of the state, my government will complete the project.”
