President Muhammadu Buhari this morning declared open the Katsina State Economic And Investment Summit with the theme ‘Unlocking Investment Potentials for Sustainable Development’.
Buhari had flown in to the Umaru Musa Yaradua Airport and landed at about 9am yesterday after which he held several meetings with both with the Emir of Katsina and other stakeholders before declaring open the summit today.
The summit, which is scheduled to take place between Monday and Wednesday, was conceived as a platform to showcase the state’s natural economic features to the outside world as well as to attract investors.
Nigerians have been expressing delight at the development with many business moguls, including Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, having indicated readiness to invest massively in the state and region at large.
