The body of late entertainer, Kefee Obareki Don-Momoh is expected to arrive Nigeria this week ahead of her burial on Friday, July 11, 2014. According to information available to ENCOMIUM Weekly, the late Branama queen would be laid to rest in her hometown, Okpara-Inland, Ethiope East local government Delta state.
Though the Delta State government has already bankrolled her burial including the cost of her thorough fare back to Nigeria from the US, her corpse will only arrive on Thursday, July 10, according to our source. The reason is that her husband, Teddy Don Momoh wants his wife buried immediately her corpse arrives Nigeria.
“There is a slight change in plan. The husband wants his wife buried immediately her corpse arrives and the family supported the plan. The body would be flown in on Thursday, July 10, 2014, and taken straight to Sapele, Delta for burial. The family don’t even want her corpse to be taken to the morgue upon arrival”, our source who wouldn’t want his name mentioned disclosed.

With this new arrangement, the activities planned by Kefee’s colleagues to celebrate her life and times with a symposia, concert and others would have to wait till another day.
Presently, the committee led by Sammy Okposo is still deliberating on how the team will move to Sapele, for Kefee’s burial. “We are still working on our plan. If we will need to travel as a team and stay in a hotel that’s a lot of money, I am afraid we may have to go individually if arrangement is not concluded before Wednesday”, our source added.
Earlier on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, the Kefee Burial Committee visited the family of the late singer in Sapele to condole with them. Kefee’s father, Mr. Andrew Obareki was on hand to receive the team which comprised Sammy Okposo, Nikki Laoye, Anny Ibrahim, Princess, Gordons and others.
Kefee Don-Momoh died on Friday. June 13, 2014, at Desert Spring Hospital, Las Vegas, United States after she failed to recover from a 15-day coma.
