Kemi Afolabi opens up on Ikorodu attack

‘I have moved on’

Top Yoruba actress cum film maker, Kemi Afolabi has put behind her the physical assault she suffered in the hands of some hoodlums at a movie location in Ikorodu, Lagos recently. The gorgeous movie star told encomium.ng that she has forged ahead.

This she told us on Friday, March 31, 2017, when we had a chat with her. According to the lawyer turned entertainer, “Yes, but I have forgotten about that. I have moved on. Even, as I speak, I am at a location, rolling the camera for my movie, Modorisa which its audition held last year. The delay in shooting the move was due to logistics issues and that has been addressed.”

Meanwhile, the thespian was reportedly beaten to coma by a number of ‘Area Boys’ who stormed a movie location in Ikorodu, Lagos that fateful day and demanded money from the producers – Taiwo and Kehinde Adepeko. And in the process, crisis ensued and Afolabi was beaten blue and black for confronting the hoodlums. She was said to have lost the pregnancy that perhaps would have given her a second child.

But when encomium.ng contacted the versatile role interpreter, she said she has moved forward.
