Lagos state commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Alhaja Pharma (Mrs.) Uzamat Folashayo Akinbile -Yusuf honoured her late ex-husband, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Ayokunle Akinbile who died on Saturday, March 24, 2017 (while she was away in Canada with two of her children who were resuming school), with eighth day fridau prayers.
The prayers, which took place at the late husband’s residence (6, Captain Kola Avenue Off Command Road, Ipaja, Lagos) on Saturday, April 1,2017, had in attendance Muslim clerics, friends and colleagues of the deceased, well wishers and sympathizers, amongst whom are Hon Bisi Yusuf of Lagos House of Assembly and Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo, a chieftain of APC in Lagos state.
Alhaji Rahman Akinbile, an accountant with West African Examination Council was said to have died of complications from kidney related ailment at an Abuja private hospital. He was 48 years old.
Though the commissioner and her late husband have been divorced for almost eight years, she was said to have played a significant role and spent a huge sum of money in taking care of him during the sickness.
As a matter of fact, a source told Encomium Weekly that just few days before Alhaji Akinbile’s demise, a kidney donor that they have been searching for was found.
The commissioner, we gathered, did not get to know about his predicament until June last year when the second wife he married after divorcing the commissioner absconded. It was after this the commissioner took it upon herself to take care of him being the father of her four children (Saheed, Mujeeb, Roqeeb and Muktar).
Alhaja (Mrs) Uzamat Akinbile -Yusuf is the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development. A trained pharmacist from University of Lagos, Akoka and astute business woman that sits atop Musaroq Nig Ltd, Beta Silver Crown Petrol Station and Musaroq Pharmacy Laboratory and Stores as Managing Director /Chief Executive Officer.
Before her appointment as a commissioner in Lagos state cabinet, she has the position of Supervisor Agriculture, Rural and Social Development at Agbado /Oke Odo LCDA between 2012 and 2014.
She is now married to Alhaji Shehu Olubodun Yusuf, a billboard advertising guru.
