Lagos House drop Desmond Elliot, three others as Committee Chairmen

Popular actor and member of Lagos House of Assembly, Hon.  Desmond  Olusola Elliot has been dropped as the chairman House Committee on Tourism , Arts & Culture by the Speaker of Lagos House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa.
Hon Elliot was among the four members of the assembly that were dropped as chairmen of various House Standing Committees by the Speaker , Rt Hon Obasa on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 when at the close of plenary session for that day he announced the names chairmen of House Standing Committees .
Other members of the House that were dropped as chairmen are Hon. Olusegun Olulade,  former chairman, Health Services, Hon. Olusola Giwa, former Chairman Wealth Creation & Employment and Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, former Chairman , Science and Technology.
The speaker did not give reasons for their removal.
Hon. Elliot in his capacity as the chairman , House Committee on Tourism, Arts & Culture was in Cannes recently during Cannes Films Festival.
