Those speculating that the president of the good people of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is under the weather with an ear infection should forget the tale. The tall 73 year old ex-general from Katsina is hale and hearty.
Today (Monday, May 23) , he received the governor of Ogun (Senator Ibikunle Amosun) in his office, Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja ( Federal Capital Territory). He was grinning, in a jolly mood and stood as he shook hands, as the official pictures showed.
Late yesterday as the news of the cancellation of his two day official visit to Lagos gained ground, speculations about the reason flew afield. One of such tales said he was sick with an ear infection. Others claimed he cancelled coming to Lagos because Asiwaju BOLA Ahmed Tinubu hosted the Ayuba Waba faction of Nigeria Labour Congress last week following their indefinite strike action without clearance from the presidency.
What’s clear today is that the president is well, joyous and kicking…
