Lagos PPRO, DSP Dolapo Badmus faults Lagosians’ claim over crime wave

-“It’s not on the high side”
Lagos Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), DSP Dolapo Badmus has faulted the claim by some Lagosians that crime rate is on the increase at the moment, reiterating that it’s at the barest minimum.
Speaking with on Wednesday,March 16,2016,the brilliant cop rated Lagos as a relatively peaceful state compared to other cosmopolitan states in the country. She therefore enjoined all Lagos residents to complement the efforts of the command by supplying the police the necessary information that will enable them fish out criminals in the state.
“I disagree with any one saying that, crime rate in Lagos state is not on the increase at all. If we compare Lagos, being a cosmopolitan state, with all other cosmopolitan states in the country, you will agree with me that Lagos is relatively peaceful”.
Asked to comment on the recent robbery cases in some parts of the state, kidnapping, rape and all that, she said,”Like I said,Lagos is a cosmopolitan state. We can’t do without some little crimes happening in the state. Crime can’t be eradicated totally,it can only be reduced to the barest minimum which is what the command is doing. Even, in the developed world, people still commit crimes.
“The people of Lagos state only need to be vigilant of whatever is happening in their areas and furnish us with the needed information so that we can flush out the criminals in the state. People can acknowledge the command’s efforts recently on kidnapping and robbery cases in the state. We are conversant of the situation of things concerning crime in the state, and we’re not relenting. We assure Lagosians of maximum security, but we also need their maximum cooperation.”
