LASG holds fourth draw of Lagos HOMS on Wednesday

  • Sir Michael Otedola Estate, Epe, Oba Adeboruwa Estate, Ikorodu, others up for grabs 

Sir Michael Otedola Estate, Oduragunshin, Epe, Oba Adeboruwa Estate, Ikorodu, Shogunro Scheme 1, Ogba-Ikeja and Ilupeju Scheme in Ilupeju will be on the cards on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 as the Lagos State Government holds the fourth draw of its Home Ownership and Mortgage Scheme (Lagos HOMS).

The draw, which will take place at the Lagos Television Blue Roof Multi-purpose Hall, Agidingbi Road, Ikeja, will also field for sale the rollover units of homes from the last draw which include Alhaja Adetoun Mustatapha Estate and Hon. Olaitan Mustapha Estate in Ijaiye, Ojokoro, CHOIS Gardens, Abijo, Aja and Hon. Sotonwa Estate, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.

Executive Secretary of Lagos Mortgage Board, Mr. Akinola Kojo Sagoe, who disclosed this in a press release at the weekend, said the draw was in fulfillment of Government’s promise of giving opportunities to Lagosians monthly to own their homes in the State with the commitment to the provision of at least 200 homes monthly for the draw.

The Executive Secretary said in addition to providing homes for residents, the construction of the houses in various locations across the State was creating thousands of jobs for both skilled and unskilled unemployed people adding that it has also benefitted no less than 134 construction companies, 459 sub-contractors employing 1,168 persons, seven consultancy firms, 5,442 suppliers, artisans, labourers and numerous citizens who are employed in the supply chain.

He listed new locations where new homes are being constructed under the Scheme to include Mushin, Igando, Ajara, Ibeshe, Iponri, Obele, Lekki Scheme11, Omole, Magodo, Oke-oba, Agege and Songotedo along Lekki-Epe Expressway adding that successful applicants in the previous draws are already moving into their new homes.
