Lateef Raji died before completing PhD programme

If there is one dream that the Late Lateef Raji could not fulfilled before his untimely death on Monday, August 14, 2017 , it’s probably the fact that he could not complete his  doctorate degree programme at University of Lagos,  Akoka, where he did his first and second degrees in Political Science.
According to the late Special Adviser to the governor on Information and Strategy in Lagos state, in an exclusive interview he granted us in 2014, during his 52nd birthday celebration, he has finished all the written examinations for his Ph.d. That what remained was to complete his thesis.
From what we gathered from those close to the late politician, he was unable to complete the research work due to his political ambition and later due to his sickness.
Encomium.ng also gathered that the late LASIEC commissioner had premonition of his death.
Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, the Special Adviser to Osun state governor on Media, said Lateef Raji told him in his last telephone conversation that he had very little time left in life.
The late Lateef Raji was diagnosed of oropharynx cancer in 2012 . He was at Royal Marsden Hospital for 6 months in 2013, where he did chemotherapy and radiotherapy to get rid of the cancer cells.
He is survived by his wife and four children.
He was 54 years and would have been 55 years old on October 2017.
