Lateef Raji, LASIEC commissioner, is dead

This is certainly not the best moments for Lagos branch of All Progressives Congress ( APC) and Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).  This is because they have just lost one of their own to the cold hands of death.
Mr Lateef Raji, the pioneer State Secretary of the party in 1998 when it started out as Alliance for Democracy (AD) and presently a commissioner in Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) is dead. He died 4 am today (Monday,  August 14, 2017), after battling with an undisclosed ailment for some weeks .
In October 2014, during his 52nd birthday celebration,  he told Encomium Weekly in an exclusive interview that,  he was diagnosed of oropharynx cancer ( throat cancer) in 2012.
According to him, he was at Royal Marsden Hospital,  London for six months where he did chemotherapy and radiotherapy courtesy of Lagos State Government under the leadership of Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola whom he served then as the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
