Leo Stan Ekeh and Olabisi Onasanya were among the top winners at the inaugural Nigeria Elite Business Award (NEBA) 2013, held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, on November 9, 2013.
The event, which was put together by the Elite Business Africa Network (EBAN), was designed to reward companies and individuals with outstanding qualities in terms of transparency, corporate governance and business processes.
Zinox Technologies Chairman/CEO, Leo Stan Ekeh emerged the Entrepreneur of the Year while Stephen Olabisi Onasanya, Chief Executive Officer of First Bank of Nigeria was voted the CEO of the Year with Otunba Subomi Balogun, founder of First City Monument Bank, winning the Lifetime Achievers Award.

The special guest of honour was the Vice President, Architect Namadi Sambo, who was represented by the Honourable Minister of Trade and Commerce, Olusegun Aganga, while Professor Pat Utomi was the keynote speaker at the colourful event.
IYANYA AND HIS TRIPLE MG CREW BOUNCED AT DAVIDO’S BIRTHDAY PARTY
David Adeleke aka Davido turned 21 on Thursday, November 21, 2013, and threw a bash hyped as the most anticipated party of the year. However, the party left much to be desired at the end of the day due to bad organization, poor treatment of fans, friends and celebrities that came to party with the rich man’s son (Omo Baba Olowo).
Several celebrities, including award-winning artiste, Iyanya, who came in company of his protégés, Tekno, Miles, Basci and manager, Ubi Franklin were bounced at the gate, leaving the Kukere master, who had to turn back disappointed.
Earlier that night, Davido had gone on Twitter to invite fans.
“It’s my b’day party 2nite at Pavada! Everyone’s invited. Hosted by MC Galaxy! Let’s ball. 89, Agoro Diyan off, Adeola Odeku.”
As early as 10pm, several scantily dressed ladies came but after waiting outside till 2am when Davido arrived, they were roughly dispersed with sporadic shooting by intoxicated trigger-happy policemen that came with Davido.
The club bouncers joined the fun by pumping pepper spray into fans’ eyes. There were also several cases of physical assault and brutalization of journalists. It was a good example of how not to stage a party.
AFIS BALOGUN PARTIES HARD AT D’PLACE
Chief Executive Officer, Connosure Exchange Ltd, Afis Balogun was at hottest hangout in town, D’Place by Papas Entertainment, Lekki, Lagos on Saturday, November 16, 2013.
Also known as Otunba of Champagne in Africa, he was at the fun spot with a couple of friends. He left around 3:45am in his black Escalade truck.
EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR SPOTTED AT VOODOO BAR
On Sunday, November 17, 2013, football star, Emmanuel Adebayor and businessman, Richard Nnadi were at Voodoo Bar, Elegushi, Lekki, Lagos. Both had unlimited fun till about 4:15am when they left in a red Ford SUV.
Also at the popular beach bar, Voodoo was music star, Wizkid. Wizzy, who came in his black Porsche jeep at about 3am emptied some bottles of champagne before he left that morning.
The rave of the moment, before he left threw a bundle of N1,000 notes to fans who struggled to have some.
