‘Life has taught me to be good to people’ -Ngozi Ezeonu

PRETTY actress, Ngozi Ezeonu, is one person who has made an indelible mark in Nollywood.  This fair-skinned actress and former model who has shown her competence by the quality of the interpretation of her roles told ENCOMIUM Weekly in a chat on Friday, February 18, 2011, the greatest lesson life has taught her.

What has been happening to Ngozi Ezeonu?

I am doing great.  I do my job and I try to live well.

What lessons would you say life has taught you?

Life has taught me to be bold.  And most importantly, to be good to the people you meet while climbing up because you will also meet them on your way down.

What advice has anyone given you that has helped you greatly?

It is to be Godly.  To put God first in whatever I do and to always depend on Him in tough situations.

Where do you derive your strength from?

From God, my Creator.

What would you say about Nollywood of today?

I would say that Nollywood of today is better than that of yesterday.  I won’t say much.  This is simply how I see it.

There was a time it was said that you were actively campaigning for President Goodluck Jonathan, why do you strongly believe in him?

I am an actress, not a politician.

What do you like most about being an actress?

I love everything about it. The fact that the job I do gives me the opportunity to touch people’s lives.  It serves as a medium through which I evangelise the word of God to the people. I got to change lives.

What are your most enjoyable moments?

Whenever I get on my knees to pray to my Creator.

Give us some of your success secrets.

Putting God first.  If you put God first in anything you do, you will achieve whatever you set your mind to.  There is nothing you cannot do.  Things will be smoother and your problems will be minimised.
