List of Ambassadors nominated by Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari today sent the names of 47 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for consent and confirmation. According to the President’s letter, the 47 man list comprised only of career civil servants in the Foreign Service.

While reading the list on the floor of the Senate, President Bukola Saraki said that Buhari asked that the senate approve the list at the shortest time possible.

Buhari’s letter read, “I have the honour to forward the attached list of 47 career Foreign Service officers as ambassador designates for consideration and confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Copies of their curriculum vitae are attached. It is my hope that this will receive the usual prompt attention of the distinguished members of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
