Literary legend, Wole Soyinka makes surprise appearance at Felabration

Nigerian playwright, poet and Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka made a surprise appearance at Felabration on sunday 15th of October 2017.

The literature professor who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986 is the first African to be honoured in that category and a cousin of the late revolutionary African musician, Fela Kuti.

In his excitement, Professor Wole Soyinka said “I am happy to be here to celebrate Fela with everyone”.

The festival which ran for 7 days, at the New Afrika Shrine, was put together to celebrate the life and times of the great Fela Kuti.

Other superstars like Sir Shina Peters, Adewale Ayuba, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tekno, Adekunle Gold, Simi, Wande Coal and Runtown amongst others graced the Felabration 2017 stage.

Nigeria’s fastest growing stout brand, Legend Extra Stout also joined millions of Nigerians in the weeklong musical event as the brand brought its realness and uniqueness to Felabration.

Over the week, the unique bitter tasting stout brand rewarded consumers with exciting gifts like refrigerators, flat screen tvs, generators, t-shirts and keyrings amongst others.
