Liz da-Silva dedicates first child – baby daddy absent

Fast rising actress, Liz Da-Silva is extremely happy and excited at the moment. The reason is that the beautiful role interpreter just delivered a baby boy, christened Abdulraheem Subomi.

An industry source disclosed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that the naming, held at her Surulere, Lagos residence was graced by some of her close friends and colleagues, including Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Flakky Ididowo, Adeola Adelowo, Dele Ogundipe, Yomi Fabuyi, Bose Arowosegbe and a few others.

The source said the elated mother was on hand, ensuring all went well.

“Liz Da-Silva dedicated her baby yesterday, Sunday, June 23, 2013. She only invited her close friends in the industry to her house in Surulere, Lagos, for the naming. But I learnt the father of the baby is yet to show up”.

However, before the Lagos born film maker ended the nine-month course on Sunday, June 16, 2013, speculations were rife that the pregnancy was controversial as no man was said to have accepted responsibility among those said to have been mentioned by the theatre practitioner.

“I learnt nobody has claimed responsibility for the paternity of the new fruit of the womb. But as a mother, I am sure Liz knows who the father of her baby is. Very soon, the truth will be known”, an insider source said.

ENCOMIUM Weekly’s efforts to get Da-Silva’s reaction on the development proved abortive as our calls put through to her mobile phone were ignored. We also sent her a text message, all to no avail.
