Lovers found dead inside car in Ogba: ‘Bodies still in the mogue’ – PPRO

The bodies of the married lovers that were found dead on Abisogun Leigh street, Ogba, Lagos, early in the morning of Sunday, October 29, 2017, are still in the morgue where they were deposited as autopsies to ascertain the cause of their sudden death is yet to be conducted as at around 2 pm encomium.ng on Monday, October 30. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Olarinde Famous Cole promised to forward the details when the police are through with their investigation.
“It’s too soon to comment on autopsies now. Their bodies are still in the morgue. Anytime we’re through with our investigation which is still ongoing, I will forward the details to you.”
Meanwhile, the PPRO who had earlier commented on the issue reportedly said, “The lovers were taken to a hospital where they’re confirmed dead. Autopsies will be conducted on them while the investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of death. I don’t have their names now.”
On the identities of the deceased lovebirds, the PPRO declined to comment on the text sent to his mobile line in that respect.
However, encomium.ng’s efforts to locate the residence of dead lovers were unsuccessful as few people that spoke to us on the condition of anonymity around the vicinity they were found dead denied any knowledge of that.
“I must be sincere, I have no idea of their actual house in Ogba. I only read it that they lived in the same compound until the time of their death. I don’t even know anything about them.”
Another person also said, “Yes, it was on this street they were found dead inside a Toyota Corolla car. We all saw them dead inside the car before the police came and took their bodies and the car away this morning. No one can say exactly what killed them and where they were coming from. But many people are saying they’re likely to be living at Sogunro Estate in Ogba here, only God knows.”
