Man guns down wife on wedding night, then shoots himself

A newly-wed couple met their tragic end as, following a heated argument, the man shot dead his wife before turning the gun on himself, on Sunday (October 5).

Officials say 54-year-old George Samson (an anesthesiologist) opened fire on his nurse wife, Kelly Ecker (50), at their mansion in Terre Haute, Indiana (USA), after a row turned deadly shortly after the last guest left their post-reception gathering.

Vigo County Chief Deputy Sheriff Clark Cottom told a local newspaper (Indy Star): “The investigation has revealed that there was a verbal argument between the couple toward the end of the reception, which carried over to the after-party at the couples’ home.”
