Mc Queen says Oscar win ‘not important’

British film maker, Steve McQueen, has said he doesn’t understand the fuss made over his Oscar triumph earlier this year when he clinched the award for Best Picture, becoming the first black director to do so.

The 44-year-old said that it is no big deal, saying: “There’s nothing I don’t think black people can’t do so that’s of no consequence to me”.
