Tribute to Mr. Tajudeen Ajibola Babatunde Disu

ambode1On Monday, October 12, 2015, I received with rude shock, the painful and sudden death of Mr. Tajudeen Ajibola Babatunde Disu. Perhaps some more shocking is the fact that he died while performing his official duty and just four days to celebrating his 64th birthday on earth.

Tajudeen Disu, was an amiable gentleman who worked conscientiously, tirelessly and with astute diligence as the Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Limited. He was exceptionally result-oriented and was passionately involved in the actualization of the development of the Lekki Free Zone, which he believed will improve the lot of people in that axis and the State in general.

I recall his lifetime that he worked transversely with the State Government not only on matters of community relations and conflict resolution but was also able to offer out of his vast and wealth of experience advises that have been beneficial to the progress of our beloved State.

A proud and thorough bred Lagosian and a rare gem, he will be surely missed by all those who came in contact with him, those whom he impacted and those whom he loved dearly, especially his family, friends, close associates, Ibeju-Lekki community but most of all the State Government.

The vacuum left behind by his death would no doubt he difficult to fill. I therefore, on behalf of the people and Government of Lagos state, grief with the family on this great loss and it is our prayer that Almighty Allah, will console the family and grand him Aljarnah Fidaus.

Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

Governor, Lagos state
