On Saturday night (July 12, 2014), football star, Mikel Obi was spotted at D’Place by Papas Entertainment. Driven into the club in a Mercedes Benz M.Class, he was accompanied to the lounge by his manager, John Shittu who came in a black G-Wagon. The duo rocked the fun spot till about 4.30am.

 

SENATOR BODE OLAJUMOKE DONATES BUILDING TO SCOUTS TO MARK 70th BIRTHDAY

A former senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Bode Olajumoke has donated a four- bedroom apartment to the Lagos State Scout Council as part of activities marking his 70th birthday.

The building which is inside the Baden Powell Training Centre, Ibeshe, Ikorodu, is for the use of Lagos State Disabled and Special Scouts.

Handing over the building, Dr Olajumoke said he decided to give back to the society, especially to the physically challenged in order to inspire and give them a sense of belonging.

His words, “This land was donated by Justice Adeoba 10 years ago. It has been lying fallow and I decided to build the four bedroom chalet to help the disabled Scouts in Lagos to have a place to live whenever they come for training in the institute”.

Speaking at the commissioning, the Lagos State Scout Council Commissioner, Chief Joseph Tawose thanked Senator Bode Olajumoke for the donations and his ceaseless assistance in the growth and development of the national and Lagos State Scout Council over the years.

The Chief Commissioner of Scout in Nigeria, Olori Omo Oba Olusoga Atibioke commended Dr Olajumoke for his sundry philanthropic gestures and urged other wealthy personalities in the country to emulate him, adding that wealth would not be taken to heaven.

Singing sensation, Wizkid is back to Nigeria after spending two weeks in the United States of America. Ayo Balogun (that’s his real names) was in Uncle Sam’s land for shows. He flew back on the night of Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

Meanwhile, Wizkid who celebrated his birthday there had to host friends and colleagues at Xcape Niteclub on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, that same day.

 

DAY FLOOD TOOK OVER XCAPE

Richard Nnadi’s club, Xcape had it rough on the night of Wednesday, July 16, 2014. The problem was that the heavy rain got the entire area flooded.

This eventually led to breakdown of cars and serious traffic gridlock, which frustrated both residents and patrons of the club.

Tagged Special Dinner with the destitute, she , her mother and friends came along with food in take-away packs for over 1,000 destitute. She also gave out clothes to the leader of the less fortunate group.

Top Wazobia FM presenter, OPJ was denied access to D’Place by Papas on Saturday, July 12, 2014. The reason was that he wore a pair of slippers to the club.

And when the popular presenter was told to leave the fun spot, he quietly took his leave.
