Moji Olaiya’s last hours still sketchy

Since the news of Moji Olaiya broke in the early hours of Thursday, May 18, 2017, many versions of stories surrounding her sudden demise have been flying. This has left most of her colleagues and fans in doubt and confusion as to how she really died.
Meanwhile, social media was awash with the reports that the pretty role interpreter died of heart attack, while some within the industry are still maintaining she might have died of complications after child delivery being a very long time she had a child last.
An industry source told encomium.ng on Thursday, May 18, 2017, that Olaiya suddenly developed unknown ailment on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, and was rushed to a private hospital where she finally breathed her last.
“I learnt Moji has survived the complications of child birth and had been hale and hearty until Wednesday, May 17, when the story changed and all efforts to rescue her failed. I learnt she relocated to Canada shortly after she became pregnant and was delivered of a baby girl in March, about two months ago. It’ s so unfortunate she died just like that, especially when she had settled down after many years she had parted ways with her former husband.”
When encomium.ng contacted one her colleagues, Saidi Balogun about her last days,  he reacted point blank, “No one can say anything categorical about that for now. A lot of people are just posting so many things about her death. Whether she actually died of heart attack or not, nobody can say if that is true.  We’re yet to hear any further information about how she died, where exactly she died or what killed her. All we know now is that Moji Olaiya is dead and she is dead. May her gentle soul rest in peace. Her death is so painful and unfortunate.”
On whether the late actress’ body will be buried in Canada or brought to Nigeria soon, Balogun said, “That also is yet to be known. Whatever anybody may be telling you on that is also mere speculation. Let’s wait a little before we can say anything on that as well.”
