More than 135,000 refugees and migrants have arrived Europe by sea within the last six months of 2015. They reportedly migrated to countries in the southern Europe through the Mediterranean sea in unsafe boats.

The number of migrants has increased by 80 percent from the same period in 2014. The UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees) report says that European Union leaders remain divided on how to solve the growing migrant crisis.
