Mourinho will pocket £75 m in 5-year Man U deal

-Gets  200 million to revive club

The Special One, Jose Mourinho has taken over this morning (Monday, May 23, 2016) as coach of the legendary Manchester United from Louis Van Gaal.

Sacked along with his crew, with Ryan Giggs’ future hanging in the balance, Van Gaal’s victory dance at winning the FA Cup on Saturday, May 21, beating Crystal Palace (2-1) was short-lived.

Mourinho, who was first paid £4 m not to negotiate with any club, is set to receive £75 m in a 5 year deal.

Here are some updates about the news in Manchester…

  • The announcement of Louis Van Gaal’s sack will be made at 1pm as New York Stock Exchange opens.
  • Van Glal will be paid off, as he has one year left in his contract (He only spent two seasons, leading the club to the fifth position and Premier League). Last year, Manchester United was fourth.
  • Van Gaal received a £5 on pay off, and another £400,000 for winning the FA Cup.
  • Mourinho’s five year deal is £75m
  • Mourinho is planning a £200 in spree on new signings.
  • Mourinho is said to be targeting Zlatan Ibrahimovic, John Stones, Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba.
  • Those likely to leave are Juan Mata, Maroaune Fellani, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Michael Carrick.
  • He refused to sign a behaviourial clause (his touchline antics)
  • Mourinho, 53, has had a long career in coaching – from Benfica (2000), Unigo De Leirin (2001-2002), Porto (2002-2004), Chelsea (2004-2007), Inter Milan (2008-2010), Real Madrid (2010-2013), Chelsea (2013-2015).
  • News of Mourinho’s appointment will be confirmed tomorrow (Tuesday, May 24)
