Moyo Lawal recounts Lagos robbery attack

Bollywood star, Moyo Lawal has opened up to encomium.ng today, Thursday, October 12, 2017, on her ordeal in the hands of traffic robbers who attacked her on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in the Ilupeju-Anthony axis of Lagos state.
In a phone chat with the beautiful actress at about 12.30 pm, she narrated how it all happened, but gave thanks to God for His mercies and protection as the robbers didn’t succeed in their mission.
“It’s true but I thank God nothing was stolen and I was not injured. They only succeeded in breaking my car window. It all happened on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, around 8 pm. I just finished my interview with Ebony Life TV, Ilupeju and I wanted to link the road to the Third Mainland bridge. I was done for the day and l was actually going to Lekki where I live. But no sooner than I got to the toad, I just noticed that one guy was running after my car but there’s traffic and everywhere was even dark. No street light along that road. Before we knew it, the guy had gripped me on the neck, attempting to snatch my neck chain, struggling it with me. I was just driving with one hand using the other to hold my necklace. Then,  another guy was also at the other side struggling to snatch my Personal Assistant (PA) phone, and my PA started screaming, Thief! Thief!! Thief!!! just to draw the attention of other motorists not far from us and the people passing by. As they realised that they had failed in their mission, they disappeared. But they succeeded in breaking my car window and that has been fixed. I thank God for His mercies and protection.”
“Immediately the news broke, I started receiving texts from different corners congratulating me for not harming me and not stealing my phones and other items in the car. They said a lot of people have fallen victims of that in that area. I would advise the government do something urgent to that even from Oshodi bridge to Anthony and Ilupeju, linking Ikorodu road to third mainland bridge are all dangerous areas and they truly need government attention.”
