From the1st of June, 2018, when the 21 Days Of Y’ello Care Campaign kicked off at the MTN Nigeria Headquarters, Ikoyi, Lagos, MTNners (MTN Staff) have been involved in various activities geared towards creating a brighter life for people in the society.
So let’s take a quick look:
There were visits to various Skills Acquisition Centres, where MTNers took their time to teach the students important skills like digital marketing and how to take their businesses online, rhesus deficiency and child mortality.
There was excitement wherever the 21 Days Of Y’ello Care went.
Students listened to learn life lesson from MTNers.
And we certainly can’t forget the dancing, ‘cos there was a lot of it!
There was also the Y’ello Walk. Staff of the company walked from MTN Nigeria Headquarters, Ikoyi to Obalende to raise awareness for Rhesus Deficiency and child immortality in Nigeria.
There was also an ICT Training session on Employability and Entrepreneurship at University Of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.
After all these and so much more in the past three weeks, the Campaign came to a glorious end on Thursday, 21st June, 2018 at the MTN Nigeria Headquarters Ikoyi, Lagos, with a Y’ello Career Fair and Closing Ceremony.
The Y’ello Career Fair was opened by Tobechukwu Okigbo, Corporate Relations Executive, MTN Nigeria, who had wise words for the young ones.
And Esther Akinnukawe, Human Resources Executive, MTN Nigeria, spoke on ‘My MTN’ and how MTN is the go-to place to work.
Odunayo Sanya, General Manager, Customer Management, MTN Nigeria also gave life lessons such as the practice of self-accelerating beliefs, a vision, etc.
The dance competition at the Y’ello Career Fair was a must-see!
And the game of “Fastest Fingers that followed was a joy to watch.
It was raining gifts at the Career Fair!
”Ring The Bell’, an initiative of the Human Resources Division of MTN Nigeria was introduced by the Human Resources Executive, MTN Nigeria, Esther Akinnukawe. She explained that the bell will be rung to announce a notable initiative in MTN Nigeria.
Dignitaries were also present at the event.
That wasn’t all! MTNers also went home with prizes for distinguishing themselves in various areas.
MTNers had loads of fun!
But all good things must come to an end…
Chairman MTN Foundation, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, OFR, gave the farewell address, saying that MTN Nigeria believes that doing good is good business and that he hopes to be at the ceremony in 2019, in a yellow shirt and a pair of jeans!And so the curtain fell on the 21 Days Of Y’ello Care Campaign. It has been 21 days of incredible fun, caring for the society and brightening lives!
