Music, Games and Colourful Fun As One Lagos Fiesta Returns For 2016

What better way to end the year, than with music, friends, and fun, in Nigeria’s most populous city, at the annual One Lagos Fiesta from the Christmas Eve, December 25th, to New Year’s Day, January 1st, 2017.

The fiesta, a unique festival that aims to capture the true spirit, character, culture and traditions of Lagos state holds simultaneously in 5 major municipalities across Lagos and features over 40 performances and 500 hours of entertainment from some of Nigeria’s biggest artistes and DJs, open mic contests (Lagos Got Talent), games, cultural displays, as well as endless supply of food and drinks.

Launched in 2015 by the Lagos State Government as a means of celebrating the culture and art of the Mega City, while also giving residents a well deserved end-of-year party, One Lagos Fiesta delighted residents of Ikorodu, Badagry, Epe, Agege and Victoria Island, with performances from Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Don Jazzy, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, Iyanya, Lil Kesh, Reminisce, Olamide, plus several established and upcoming acts.

This year 2016, fans who will gather daily at the venues across the state for a bigger, bolder and better fiesta, will not only get to see their favourite stars, but they can also participate in the food contests, Lagos Got Talent open mic contest, special kiddies events, and several other fun activities.

The celebration of culture and art, aimed at uniting 20 million residents across the state, will be crowned with a special appearance by the executive Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, royal fathers and several famous and celebrated sons and daughters of the state.
