Muyiwa Ige, 12 others make list of Aregbesola’s commissioners

Two years, four months to his second term in office, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun has submitted a 12-man list to the House of Assembly as members of his cabinet for their approval.
Encomium Weekly can authoritatively inform you that amongst the 12 names submitted by the governor are Mr Muyiwa Ige, the only surviving son of late Chief Bola Ige, the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the federation. Muyiwa, who was the commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development in Aregbesola’s first term, will still hold forth in the same department but this time as a bureau under the governor’s office.

We further gathered that virtually all those who made the list were members of the cabinet in the first term of the governor. They include Mr Ajibola Bashiru (the former commissioner for Special Duties), Mr Alagbala Jayeoba (the former commissioner for Commerce), Mrs Folake Adegboyega (the former commissioner for Women Affairs), Alhaji Rafiu Isamotu (the Special Adviser to the governor on health) and Mr Remi Omowaye (the former Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media).

Others who made the list are, Mr Adebisi Adejare (a lawyer and the incumbent Assistant Chief of Staff to the governor), Mr Olugbenga Akano (another Assistant Chief of Staff to the governor), Hon Bisi Odewunmi, Mr Kunle Ige (a former Special Adviser to the governor on Rural Development), Mr Obaluwaji Ajilore, Mr Biyi Odunlade and Mr Oyebanji.

The commissioners, if approved by the House of Assembly, will have less than two years to serve because the administration’s tenure will terminate on November 27, 2018.
