‘My loyalists didn’t attack K1 in Osogbo’ -Omisore

CONTRARY to the report in one of the dailies, Osun People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Saturday, August 9, 2014 guber election in the Home of the Living Spring, Senator Iyiola Omisore has denied any link to the alleged assault on Fuji king, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe, better known as K1 de Ultimate in Osogbo, a couple of days back, after performing at the campaign rally organized by All Progressives

Congress (APC) flagbearer for the election, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.  He added that it’s all a mere friction.

Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Thursday, July 24, 2014, via his media man, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, the controversial politician expressed bitterness over the allegation, labeling those sponsoring it as mischief makers.

He described the publication as not only false but malicious.  “That’s not true, my brother.  They are only looking for a way of making wrong the image of Otunba Omisore in order to distract him.  They have discovered that their time is over in Osun, and they’re looking for a way to create disaffection between him and Osun people, especially the fans of K1.  We’re not thugs in PDP.  If such a thing happened at all, they should search themselves in APC, not PDP supporters at all.”

Probed further on why Omisore was linked to the rumoured attack, he said, “My brother, I have told you, we’re not thugs in PDP.  We don’t harbor hoodlums.  We’re all responsible people. I don’t have time for this kind of issue.  We’re busy winning more supporters on the basis of the belief they have in the candidature of Otunba Omisore.  People are clamouring for a change, they can’t have time to attack people.  If the information was true, I believe they should have ordered the arrest of the perpetrators of the evil and criminal act.  We don’t have time for thuggery in PDP, that’s why people embrace us anywhere we go.”

However, an APC chieftain who spoke to ENCOMIUM Weekly said the famous musician was almost attacked by a group of people suspected to be PDP supporters who disguised as fans of the Ijebu Ode, Ogun born entertainer, but for his heavy security guards.

“The crowd was too heavy at the rally ground.  It was difficult to know who was who.  I think some people disguised as APC supporters and fans of K1 actually wanted to carry out the havoc but their plan didn’t yield their desired result.  So, I don’t think K1 was actually assaulted.”

Efforts to get the Oluaye of Fuji’s reaction failed as all the calls put through his mobile phone were ignored.  We equally sent him a text message, all to no avail.
