Nigerians have disagreed with the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed’s stance that he did not owe Nigerians an explanation after it became public knowledge that he secured a N13 million loan from the NBC for a foreign trip.
Asked to react to the publication, the Minister replied, “The way the ministry is run is not the subject of public discussion.”
But, minister, you owe the public an explanation on how government funds is spent? Asked his interviewer to which he bluntly retorted, “I do not.”

I’m confused. It’s okay to tax us to death but Lai Mohammed doesn’t owe us explanations about pretty much anything? pic.twitter.com/7Z0TJCoo7j

Lai Mohammed’s outburst has once again shown us that this APC Government is not interested in fighting corruption. They are 100% hypocrites.

A good leader would use this scandal and relieve himself of the burden of Lai Mohammed and replace with a Y2K compliant fellow #leadership

Interesting stuff from Lai Mohammed. Faithful party attack dog, poor and clueless manager of information as a minister. #leadership

Lai Mohammed can ruin all the work the APC is doing. He’s too old, out of touch, and been in the game for too long to be the govt spokesman

Lai Mohammed is in the worst possible position for his personality. The absolute worst
