Naira in circulation still dirty, torn and smelly

The stolen N8 billion meant to be destroyed by Central Bank of Nigeria’s staffers currently facing prosecution, appears to still be in circulation.
From Lagos banks, money dispensed are dirty, torn and smelly – and should have been withdrawn from circulation.
Money withdrawn from a bank in Ogba (Lagos) yesterday (Friday, June 26) were in a sorry state.  Most appeared long overdue for the furnace.
Concerned Nigerians believe the dirty currencies are still being laundered by co-conspirators of the arrested CBN officials.
