The fourth edition of the National Heritage Awards/Miss Heritage Nigeria, is scheduled to take place in October in Lagos.
This year’s event, according to the organisers, Caires Grooming Agency Limited, will witness conferment of awards to great achievers in Nigeria as well as the crowning of the Miss Heritage Nigeria Queen 2014.
“The pageant has been reviewed technically and mainstreamed to stamp Nigeria as a world class culturally relevant nation.
Miss Heritage Nigeria is the pioneering beauty pageant of the present cultural trend which other pageants aimed primarily at western styles are now tapping into. This has been testified in the positive impact the Miss Heritage Nigeria beauty pageant is contributing to modern society,” said Caires ‘ founder /CEO, Miss Chinor Emeka in a press release she sent to ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
Meanwhile, audition will commence at the following locations: Lagos, August 17, 2014, at Federal Palace Hotel, Ikoyi.
Abuja would take its turn on August 23, at Lake Chad Palace Hotel, Maitama, while would – be contestants would be auditioned in Akwa Ibom on August 24, at Sheer Grace Arena, Uyo. Audition will also hold at All Seasons Hotel, Owerri, Imo State, on August 30.
Even as leading brands are indicating interest in the Heritage brand, the brain behind the awards/pageant, Miss Chinor Emeka told ENCOMIUM Weekly there is still room for sponsors.

National Heritage Awards (NHA) and Miss Heritage Nigeria (MHN) is a prestigious annual twin event organized by Caires Grooming Agency. The event was founded in 2011 to confer awards to well-meaning Nigerians both in the country of origin and in the Diaspora, who have demonstrated excellence in preservation of their national heritage.
Its other objective is to create awareness on the necessity to preserve our culture and heritage by crowning young women who will become ambassadors of this great cause as Miss Heritage Nigeria. Moreover, the great privilege of being a Miss Heritage Nigeria is a cause that helps its honored bearer to facilitate, empower and encourage both youth and adults alike within her locality/nationality; thus, promoting national peace and unity.
“Our awards from inception in 2011, has greatly shown that Nigeria is endowed with reputable people who deserve to be celebrated and recognized for their phenomenal contributions to unity in spite of the cultural diversity. We believe that the national heritage awards gives credibility and recognition to people with excellent achievements”, Chinor enthused.
“National Heritage Award is an annual event that is geared towards recognizing young individuals, institutions and organizations that have distinguished themselves in culture- related areas. The award is based on credibility and encourages up and coming youths with great talents to continue the good work and be role models “.
