Negativity kills, be happy! – Study

A new  study revealed that those who have negative attitude have a huge chance of having a heart attack. Researchers found that being stressed increases blood sugar levels and also blood pressure. Over time, it causes damage to the heart.

With more than 2,000 men and women involved in the study for over 11 years, it was discovered that those who were pessimistic died of heart disease compared to those who are always happy.

According to researchers, being pessimistic has  a fatal effect on the heart – apart from stress and depression.

Research also shows that in the first year after a spouse dies, their partner has 67 percent chance of having a heart attack. This means the effect of mental health on our health is clearly important in our well being.

The study concluded that pessimism should be treated physically and psychologically because it affects the mind and body.
