Nigeria model, Tamar Awobotu wins top model worldwide

‘It’s a dream come true’ – She gushed

 

SUPER model, Tamar Oluwaseun Awobotu has just emerged the winner of the Top Model Worldwide competition 2012.  The 24 year-old runway queen, who is making it big in South Africa, few hours before midnight of Saturday, March 17, 2012, was announced winner of the keenly contested model competition which held at Hilton Metropole, London.

First to break the good news to ENCOMIUM Weekly was Tamar’s model friend, Olabisi Rahaman.  The about-to-wed model had gushed, “Tamar has won the competition, very proud of our friend out there.  However, we contacted the tall and leggy Tamar, who is still enveloped in ecstasy in London, shortly after she won and it was obvious in her expression that she is on top of the world.  She stated, winning the coveted crown among other 40 contestants beats her imagination.  “I can’t even explain how I won.  I am so, so happy, 40 contestants, and I was announced the winner.  It’s a dream come true.  I believe I worked hard and my hard work has paid off.”

And for winning this highly rated model competition, Tamar Awobotu is already swimming in money and fame, as she went home with a $10,000 worth contract with a top modelling agency in the UK.  She is also entitled to free cosmetic from Barbor, free shopping spree for six months, a trip to Bermuda worth $8,000 for one week.  Sponsored by the Bermuda Tourism Board.  She also got $1,000 worth shopping in Bermuda, a photo shoot in Malta and an opportunity to participate in the next London Fashion Week coming up in September.  Tamar Awobotu was chosen to represent Nigeria at the World Model Competition, early this year.  Ranked among Nigeria’s top models, Tamar has hit several magazines covers both in Nigeria and South Africa.  She has also modelled for top designers in Nigeria, South Africa and the UK.  She is presently signed on to Ice Model Agency in South Africa.  Top Model Worldwide is a leading international model search which fish out best models across the world.  Deandra Brangman from Bermuda won the 2011 edition.
