Nigerians hail Buhari over release of 21 Chibok girls

‘But he should not relent’, they echo

A lot of Nigerians have started commending President Muhammadu Buhari on the release of 21 out of about 200 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2014, rekindling the hope that the remaining girls in the captive of the deadly insurgents will soon be rescued.

Some Nigerians encomium.ng spoke to were also excited about the development. They equally agreed that all hope is not lost on the release of the innocent girls while urging Buhari not to relent on his efforts on war against insurgency.

‘I was happy to hear that 21 of the’ girls have been rescued’ – Samuel Olabiyi

To me, l was happy when I heard that some of the girls have been rescued Nigerian Army. It’s a good development – it’s pointer to the fact that Buhari is truly serious about the issue, but he shouldn’t relent until the rest are rescued. Kudos to the Nigerian Army as well.

‘Now, I believe there is hope for the rest’

The rescue of 21 of the Chibok girls is a hopeful development. Even it will shock a lot of Nigerians who didn’t believe the girls were truly kidnapped. I am particularly happy for their parents. But Buhari shouldn’t stop at that, he should continue his search for the rest. If he can achieve that before the end of this year, the whole country will be thrown into wide jubilation.”

‘I think we should commend Buhari’ – Ezekiel Chuka

I am sure a lot of Nigerians are happy now that gradually, we’re getting there concerning the rescue of the girls fully. Last time, two were rescued and 21 today. I am sure more will still be rescued before the end of this year. But to me, there shouldn’t be any celebration now until the rest are rescued and reunited with their parents. But as it’s now, we should commend Buhari and the Nigerian Army for the efforts so far.
