Nigerians set agenda for Jonathan in 2015

As President Goodluck Jonathan completes his first tenure this year, Nigerians are demanding a lot from him. While a few simply wants him to bow out, others insist he must address some of the problems bedeviling the nation whether he wins or loses the 2015 general election.

‘ALL I WANT IS GOOD POLICIES’ – Tochi Ogele

Though we shall be voting out President Jonathan come February, in the meantime, I would like him and his cabinet to focus on stabilizing the Naira. Its fall in 2014 was really disgraceful if you ask me. Also, I
would like him to implement policies that will cushion the effects of the global fall in oil prices on our economy and devise alternative sources of income other than oil.

‘I WANT HIM TO FOCUS ON EDUCATION’ – Bukola Adejole

Education for me. That’s the area I want the president to focus on this year. I know the elections are fast-approaching, so that would be near impossible. But I would like the president to take education at all levels more seriously.

You know the sorry state of our education institutions for that reason, half-baked persons are our leaders today.

‘THE PRESIDENT SHOULD SEE TO POWER PROBLEM’ – Jeremiah Ndukwe

If the president and his government is serious about leaving an indelible mark whether or not he returns after February elections, he should tackle this nagging issue of Boko Haram. For crying out loud, we have been with these monsters how many years now but we have not been able to curtail them. In addition, the president should see to it that power is improved this year.

‘HE SHOULD SEE TO TERRORISM AND INSECURITY’ – Assumpta Emeyionu

I think the president should have only one thing on the agenda this year and that is to defeat terrorism and insecurity throughout the country. This repeated terrorist attacks have really set us backward as a nation.

Not only has it depleted our prestige in the international community of nations, it has halted all forms of development. People cannot be productive when they know their lives are not secured and that they could be blown up at any time.

‘HE HAS FAILED, LET HIM GO’ – Alhaja Amusa

He has failed the nation. Let him go. We thought he would do well but he failed. Let him go in peace and let’s experience a change.

‘LET HIM DO THE RIGHT AND MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY’ – Grace Amos

My agenda for the president is that he should do the right thing, so that he will put smiles on the faces of people in the next four years.

‘I DON’T LIKE HIS ADMINISTRATION’ – Ibukun Alebiosu

I don’t have any agenda for him because I don’t like his administration and don’t pray for him to win the election.

‘I DON’T HAVE ANY AGENDA FOR HIM’ – Hazeez Balogun

I don’t have any agenda for him. All I want from him is to go back to his state.

‘WHAT IS MY BUSINESS WITH HIM?’ – Bola Akanbi

What is my business with him? I don’t have any agenda for him. All I want is Buhari for President.

‘I JUST PRAY THAT THE BEST MAN WINS’ – Mosunmola Shobowale

I’m not really into politics. I just pray that the best man wins. But as a student, I really don’t hope Jonathan wins. Remember the long ASUU strike.

‘THE ONLY AGENDA I WILL SET FOR HIM IS TO LEAVE’ – Olajuwon Williams

I do not have any agenda for President Jonathan in 2015. The only agenda I will set for him is to leave. We are tired of his reign as president because he has nothing to show for all the years he wasted on the presidential seat.

‘HE SHOULD PROVIDE GOOD EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS, GOOD ROADS…’ – Odun Fadoju

He should provide good educational systems, good roads and most important, provide jobs for youths because that is killing the country. Besides, old people would not carry a gun to rob from home to home or at traffic gridlock instead you find the youths doing so as a means of survival but if adequate provision is made for them, I do not think they will engage in such act.

‘LET HIM IS TO HAND OVER TO A COURAGEOUS LEADER’ – Isaac Olugbenga

Our president is not courageous enough to continue battling the enormous challenges facing the country. I think my one and only agenda for him is to hand over to a courageous leader.

‘I WANT HIM TO PERFORM’ – Stella Eyinocha

The president should ‎provide security; purge out insurgents, reform the power sector,‎ re-evaluate the naira, provide opportunities for employment/entrepreneurial skills, ‎deal with corruption and corrupt officials, give financial independence to the judiciary and law enforcement agencies.

‘I WANT HIM TO ATTEND TO ALL IMPORTANT ISSUES’ – Fola Adeoba

First, I want President Jonathan to address the security challenge facing the country and ensure that the kidnapped Chibok girls are released unhurt. Also, he should handle power supply with all sense of seriousness. We can’t afford to remain in darkness in 2015 despite the high tariff being paid.

If at all he doesn’t win, he should attend to all important issues before leaving on May 29, 2015.

‘LET HIM PUT AN END TO BOKO HARAM INSURGENCY…’ – Laolu adegbenjo

What I expect from President Jonathan this year is to put an end to Boko Haram insurgency and ensure the kidnapped Chibok girls are released unharmed. Then fix our collapsed infrastructure.

‘BOKO HARAM MUST BE STOPPED’ – Amaka Nathaniel

The menace of insurgency and other forms of violent crimes threatening national security must be arrested this year. This is imperative because of thousands of souls we’ve lost in the last few years. If President Jonathan really loves Nigerian he should do something serious about Boko Haram.

‘POVERTY REDUCTION POLICIES SHOULD BE INTRODUCED’ – Precious Chinedu

The suffering in the land is unbearable, especially now the economy is in a shambles. My agenda for the Federal Government is poverty reduction in the interest of the masses.
