NIGERIANS WANT OPERATORS OF IBADAN HORROR HIDEOUT ARRESTED AND PUNISHED (4)

A human abattoir was discovered around Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State weeks ago and those who visited the site were appalled by the sight of corpses, people that have died in the hands of suspected ritualists.

Days later, more corpses were discovered.

A cross section of Nigerians have spoken to condemn this barbaric act, just as those we spoke to in this series, want perpetrators to be fished out and punished without any delay.

‘It shows how inhuman some people can be’ –   WALE ADEDAYO

It’s scary. It shows how inhuman some people can be. I think poverty and illiteracy are the main reasons behind this.

‘I couldn’t believe that in 2014 such still exists’ – RUTH OKUNOLA

I was surprised when I saw the horror. I couldn’t believe that in 2014 such still exists. Only God knows how many more of such still exists.

‘I don’t know if I can bear the pain if…’ – RAPHAEL OWOTALE

My reaction is negative, because nobody is safe at the moment. I don’t know if I can bear the pain if it happens to any of my family members. The federal government should be more serious about adequate security in all parts of the country.

‘I feel sober and sad because nobody is safe’ – DOTUN MOSES

I feel sober and sad because nobody is safe. Human beings don’t feel for their brothers and sisters anymore, all because of money and power. Adequate security in all parts of the country is all we need.

‘God is only the security man needs’ – OLAYIWOLA BANKOLE

Man’s inhumanity to man. God is only the security man needs, when all other security agencies fail, God’s security is reliable. Security is not only for the government, the citizens should also help the government.

‘We need to be vigilant and watch where we go’ – SUNDAY ADEBIYI

It is cruel. Nigerians are not safe, we need to be vigilant and watch where we go. Government should punish those behind it.

‘Those evil people will never know peace’ – MRS. GRACE ITOKE

I was shocked and almost shed tears when I saw the news on TV. Human body parts littered around like used tissue paper. Those evil people will never know peace all their lives. God will judge them for all their evil deeds.

‘There is no guarantee of life in this country again’ MS HELEN IGBINOVIA

This country is not favourable to the poor masses at all. There is no guarantee of life in this country again. Humans sacrificed for personal gains by stone-hearted people is now the order of the day. God help Nigeria.

‘It was a gory sight’ – CHIDI IBELI

Ah! The pictures I saw while I was browsing my phone was shocking. It was a gory sight. I couldn’t believe this was happening and nobody has been caught until now. One has to be careful o! With the way things are going, I’m sure the end is near.

‘Our security is in the Hands of God’ – EMMENUEL OPEYEMI

We don’t know what Nigeria is turning to, may God help us. There are still other sites they need to uncover. Our security is in the Hands of God, may He continue to protect us.

‘Nigerians are no more safe’ – TEMITOPE JOSHUA

It is a good development, our security men should keep up the good work and unveil the remaining horror sites. Nigerians are no more safe. We used to be afraid of armed robbers alone, but virtually all Nigerians pray to return safely every day they step out of their house.

‘This should tell us all we have to be vigilant’ – VICTOR ADEYEMI

The Ibadan camp of horror is similar to the cannibalistic practice of Clifford Orji and the blood-chilling sacrifice and oath-taking of Okija. Unlike Orji’s one-man practice, the site was located in a city but like the Okija shrine, the camp was covered in a wilderness of sort, not far from a busy expressway in well populated area.

No one could have ever thought such thing existed in a place like that. Not even the inhabitants of the area were conscious of such an evil activity.

It is worse when political leaders, state officials and others with important responsibilities to the community, fail in their duties. It allows for all kinds of criminalities. Nobody is safe anymore. This should tell us all we have to be vigilant.

‘Let the authorities take security of life and property with genuine conscience’ – OLUWOLE ADEMOLU

Since the discovery of the Ibadan horror site, there have been more cases of individuals apprehended with human body parts in different parts of the country. Failure on our part to examine certain aspects of our lives has left loopholes for criminals to take advantage.

Let the authorities take security of life and property with genuine conscience. This is not the time for debate or procrastination. If possible, engage the job seekers in this exercise. Sure, it will yield us good result.

‘We are no longer safe’ – BABA DE BABA

Nigerians are no longer safe, we must say the truth. So, something serious should be done to stop this evil going on in the land. A situation whereby more and more horror forests are springing up suggests that forces of darkness are taking over our nation.

It should still be our people’s resolve to embrace Christ and refuse to be deceived into believing that one can make money or seek protection through ritual practices. The police and men of State Security Service (SSS) should also work smarter by being proactive.

‘The world is coming to an end’ – MC PATO

Don’t forget what the Bible said concerning wickedness as sign of the end time. What happened in Ibadan and other parts of the country manifest wickedness in its full ramifications. I wouldn’t say Nigeria is no longer safe, but we must all be vigilant.

The police also has a big role to play, while churches and other faith-based organizations should preach against this deadly trend.
