Nigeria’s Super Falcons beat Cameroon to win AFCON 2016

The Super Falcons of Nigeria has emerged winner of the 12th edition of the CAF’s African Women Cup of Nations 2016. The Super Falcons (Nigeria) beat the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon by 1-0 with the only goal from Nigeria’s Desire Oparanozie.

The AFCON 2016  hosted by Cameroon started on Saturday, November 19 and ended today (Saturday, December 3, 2016). Eight teams from one confederation took part in the competition.

Nigeria’s Asisat Oshola is the competition’s high goal scorer with six goals in total. The Super Falcons has before now,  won the African Women Cup of Nations nine times.
