Nigeria’s Top 5 Billionaires Now Worth $32.2 Billion (N6.44 Trillion)

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Dr. Michael Adenuga, Jnr, Femi Otedola, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija and Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu are all faring well on Forbes rich list with a combined networth of $32.2 billion (on Friday, April 1, 2016).

The top five Nigerians billionaires have either increased or maintained their fortunes over the last few weeks.

ALHAJI Dangote, 58, made additional $200 million, increasing his networth from $16.8 billion to $17 billion, and standing on number 48 on the list.

At his peak, the cement, flour, sugar and salt king had $25 billion to his name. His lowest was $13.6 billion.

Dr. Adenuga’s astronomical rise from his peak of $4.7 billion to $10.8 billion remains a remarkable feat.

The 62 year old chairman of Conoil and Globacom settles on number 106 on the Forbes list.

The telecoms and oil giant once had his fortunes nose dive to $2.8 billion.

Forte Oil’s Otedola, 52, has stood firm on his $1.6 billion networth for many weeks. The oil tycoon who’s known for his classy taste once rose to $1.9 billion.

He’s on number 1,252.

Mrs. Alakija, 65, lost about $100 million in the last one week. Her fortunes prances on $1.6 billion.

FAMFA’s oil grandmother is on number 1,235.

Commodity big player, Rabiu, 55, also retains his $1.2 billion fortunes this week.

He stands on number 1,671 this week.
