NTDC Boss, Sally Mbanefo to list Ned Nwoko’s N10 billion castle as tourism centre in Nigeria

The Director General of Nigeria Tourism Development Corporations (NTDC), Mrs. Sally Mbanefo has stated the corporation’s commitment in ensuring that tourism becomes one of the major sources of Nigeria’s revenue flow.
Mbanefo made this known during her visit to the expansive castle owned by international lawyer cum politician, Hon Ned Nwoko in Delta state recently.
The NDTC boss further revealed that the tourism potentials of the country can reduce unemployment problem facing the youths in the country.
“The tourism industry is a big one and the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan is doing everything possible to make sure we use tourism to combat unemployment in the country.”
During the visit, Prince Ned Nwoko conducted the NTDC boss round parts of the expansive castle which is located in Idumuje-Ugboko, Aniocha North Local Government of Delta state.
The castle, said to worth about N10 billion is situated 1000 feet above sea level which makes it the highest point in Delta State.
The main building is an architectural masterpiece conceived and designed by the billionaire international lawyer, who is a principal partner at Ned Nwoko Solicitors, 2, Beaufort road, Ealling, London W53EA.
The mansion has a combination of Arabian and Western design spiced up with rich African royal traditional designs. The architectural master piece has been described as one of the most fascinating tourism destinations in the country.
Apart from the main building, other features are beautifully mowed garden found nowhere else in the state and perfect for family camping and relaxations.
The place has a zoo with many species of animals including crocodiles, ostriches, horses, sea eagles, porcupines, monkeys, rabbits and others. Another section of the land has fish ponds that have about 50 thousand cat fish and other species in them.
Apart from these, the land also has a poultry section with about five thousand chickens, while another part is filled with thousands of palm trees.
Just behind the main castle is an Olympic size swimming pool and a lawn tennis court, with a standard table tennis board adjacent it.
After about two hours tour of the expansive land, the Director General of the NDTC, Mrs. Sally Mbanefo confessed she is yet to see any castle as beautiful and fascinating in the country. The DG thereafter promised to make sure that Ned Nwoko’s castle is listed by the Federal Government as a tourism centre.
Among the personalities who were at the castle when the NTDC boss visited included, Nigerian ex-international footballer, Celestine Babayaro, reggae musician, Ras Kimono, Comedian, I go die and beautiful actress, Chika Ike.
