After years of alleged romance with Alhaji Fatai Yusuf, popularly known as Oko Oloyun, On Air Personality (OAP), Yeye Bidemi Olukuewu, otherwise known as Afedesewa, has admitted finding love after all. And that’s with Otunba Akeem Adedimeji Oloko.

According to the pretty TV and radio presenter, the relationship is altar bound. And the wedding bell would surely ring any time next year.

Olukuewu opened up on this and much more when she was cornered at an event in Aguda, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, October 10, 2015.

It’s been a while we had a chat with you, what’s going on at the moment in your career?

Everything is in order. I am doing fine in my career as a radio and TV presenter. But right now, I am planning to launch my fan club, that’s Yeye Abidemi Olukuewu Fans Club. I also want to unveil my Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) for widows.

Equally, I want to give awards to prominent people that have contributed to the development of the society. It’s a three-in-one event which to some of my fans has been long overdue.

Your programme on Faaji FM 106.5, Ko Maa Flow has gradually become the toast of many listeners, what’s it all about?

Yes, I have a programme on Faaji FM, Ko Ma Flow. And it comes up on every Monday, 2-4 o’clock. The programme is about true life stories of some of my listeners that want advice from the public. Most times, I put myself in their shoes, expressing myself as if they are the ones talking.

And I have a lot of listeners that contribute on the programme every Monday. I have many sponsors. And atimes, I have an interview with a personality. Those are the things I normally do on the programme.

What are the preparations you’re putting in place for your three-in-one event coming up on Sunday, December 6, 2015?

I am very much prepared for the event. I am not the only one doing it, everything will be done with the support of my dear husband, Otunba Akeem Adedimeji Oloko. Also, my fan club members have been very supportive. Initially, I wasn’t thinking about anything like that, it’s my fans that called that I should have a fans club. And I said, ‘Okay, let’s try it’. And I must tell you, I must be very grateful to God for all the support I have been enjoying since I started that.

I am also indebted to all of you in the media, especially those of you in the print media for your time, support and encouragement. I also want to use this medium to appreciate all the listeners of my programme for their prayers and support as well.

What is the event going to be like? What form is it going to take?

Just like I said, we are going to have a 3-in-1 show. There is going to be the launching of my fan club, Abidemi Olukuewu Fans Club (AOFC) Afedesewa. Then, I want to launch a foundation for widows and give awards to those that have contributed in one way or the other to the society.

There is also going to be a lot of fun as the entertainment content is loaded with a lot of performance by artistes.

Who are the major sponsors of the event?

First, Almighty God. But I believe a lot of people will still come on board. Now, I have a very good friend of mine, Feyikemi Niyi Olayinka. She has been very supportive. She is even a member of the committee for the event. I have a lot of entertainers as well including Alhaji Sulaimon Alao Adekunle a.k.a Mailaka, Queen Seidat Ogunremi (Iya n Ghana), Lizzy Anjorin, Mr. Kunle Akindun, Oko Oloyun and others.

I want to say a big thank you to Alhaji Rahman Isa, CEO YFR Company, makers of Honey and Princess Paints and my darling husband, Alhaji Akeem Adedimeji Oloko.

What’s your budget for the event?

We’re looking at N5 to N7 million.

Where is the venue?

We’re still contemplating using either Combo or Multipurpose Hall, LTV 8, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.

It’s like you have moved permanently to Faaji FM, 106.5 for your programme, why?

Yes. Let me give kudos to my boss and mentor, Dr Ambrose Olutayo Somide. He has been very supportive. He is a father and a confidant, not only a boss. He had observed that most of the presenters where we’re before were being exploited and he came to our rescue.

He allowed some of us to present our programmes on Faaji FM without paying a kobo. So, I am using this medium to express my deep appreciation and gratitude to him. He’s just a father to me.

Faaji FM is like a kind of financial relief to all the presenters. Either you pay or not, you’re coming on air. People must listen to your programme.

How would describe him?

He’s my sweetheart, my honey and darling. In fact, he’s everything to me. Otunba Akeem Adedimeji Oloko has been very supportive in everything I do. He’s a husband to be prayed for always. I am very proud of him. He’s the brain behind everything I am doing at the moment. I just want to use this medium to thank and appreciate him because he is everything to me. He has been my pillar of support.

Is it right now to say you have quit spinsterhood?
