Obama calls on more countries to join fight against IS

America’s president, Barack Obama, yesterday (September 24), called on more countries to unite in ‘war’ against the Islamic State (IS).

In a speech delivered to the world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, he said the American military would work with allies to dismantle the Islamic State’s “network of death”. While arguing that the only language the militants understood was ‘force’ and there could be ‘no negotiation with this brand of evil’.
