Obasanjo/Adebutu Nuptials: Grand December introduction heralds nuptials

A grand introduction at the Ikoyi (Lagos) home of billionaire mogul behind Premier Lotto, Sir Kessington Adebutu, popularly addressed as Baba Ijebu, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, heralded the nuptials of Olujowan and Temitope.

The ceremony was witnessed by Alhaji Lateef Jakande (governor of Lagos between 1979 and 1983) and his wife, Abimbola, Otunba Gbenga Daniel (governor of Ogun from 2003 till 2011) and his wife, Yeye Olufunke, Otunba Oyewole Johnson  Fasawe, among hundreds of dignitaries…

The colourful ceremony had all the trappings of splendour as hundreds of high society’s pillars congregated to witness the introduction of the families of Olujowan Obasanjo and Temitope Adebutu this sunny day in the high brow area of Lagos.

The bride picked light blue iro and buba with gele splashed with colours of the rainbow. White agbada was the choice of the groom whose cap was the same fabric as wife’s.

The bride’s mother (Mrs. Mary Dacosta) picked a similar hue of blue as her daughter in iro and buba.

But the groom’s mother (his sister, Bunmi Esther Obasanjo-Williams) chose blazing yellow in a floor sweeping skirt and blouse combo, with yellow headgear.

The groom’s family picked yellow gele and caps as aso ebi, while the bride’s chose purple.
