Obesere splashes millions on ultra modern musical equipment, service truck and range rover jeep: ‘I don’t comment on such things’

Fuji star, Alhaji Abass Akande, otherwise known as Obesere, is one of the happiest entertainers right now. And the reason is not farfetched.

ENCOMIUM Weekly gathered from an industry source that the Asakasa crooner, weeks back, acquired ultra modern musical equipment worth millions of naira. Not only that, the Paramount King of Music was also said to have splashed a whooping N40m on a brand new service truck for his band members and a Range Rover jeep for himself.

According to the source, he has been cruising around town in the new wonder on wheels.

“Obesere is living it up at the moment. And he is very happy and excited about that.

“I learnt he acquired multimillion naira musical equipment with a view to raising his status in the industry. He didn’t stop at that, he also bought a truck for his band members and a Range Rover jeep for himself, both valued at N40 million. Obesere and his boys were spotted with the new service vehicle at an event recently in Ikeja, Lagos. Even, you don’t need to be told to know the truck belongs to Obesere because his picture is boldly displayed on it.

“I was told he got all the latest acquisitions from the money he made from his deals with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general elections and some shows and concerts he featured in during his trips abroad recently.

“In fact, I am happy for him because he has always been a hard working person.”

However, the reaction of the Ibadan, Oyo born musician on the good news was neither here nor there when contacted by ENCOMIUM Weekly a couple of days back.

“I don’t think I need to be talking on such things any more. How do you expect me to be saying I have bought a car for myself or a vehicle for my band boys, this and that at my level? My brother, let’s leave that. What’s important is that we are moving forward.”
