Ogba alleged lovers update: Why Nse Promise’s body still in the mortuary

-AS HUSBAND’S FAMILY INSIST ON PRIVATE INVESTIGATION
The body of Nse Promise Clement, one of the alleged lovers who were found dead in Ogba, Lagos, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, is still at the mortuary in Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Lagos, where it was deposited since the day of the shocking incident, encomium.ng can reveal authoritatively.
An inside source that disclosed this to encomium.ng on Monday, November 13, 2017, said the deceased’s husband, Clement and his family are yet to collect her remains from the hospital. And the reason, according to the source, was not unconnected with their insistence on a private investigation to ascertain the cause of her death,  apart from the one by the police.
“The body of Promise NSE Clement is still in the mortuary as we speak. Her husband and his family members were all at LASUTH yesterday, November 12, 2017, to see the body. I learned the body might have been released to them for burial, but they insisted they want to conduct a private investigation which I am sure is traditional to know how she really died. So, that’s why her burial is still delayed. And in Edo, where Clement comes from, they won’t just bury the woman like that unless all the traditional means to ascertain the cause of her death are explored because her husband paid her bride price. If the bride price wasn’t paid, such a thing wouldn’t have been necessary.”
On whether Promise’s family have shown up to claim the corpse of their daughter, the source said, “Nothing like that. It’s only the husband’s family that went to LASUTH yesterday. I learned Nse’s family members are ashamed of showing up because the woman has brought shame to the family and they don’t really want to be identified with such. Maybe, before this week runs out, the body will be collected for burial in her husband’s hometown since they’re not divorced.”
