OGTV launches on DSTV 260, as Ogun begins construction of world class digital studio

The Ogun State Government owned Ogun State Television (OGTV), has been launched on the Digital Satellite Television (DSTV), Channel 260, just as the government has started the construction of a world class digital studio.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun, at the officially launch as well as the commissioning of new studios and broadcast equipment for the station yesterday, assured that his administration would create an enabling environment for the smooth running of the station.

While stating that the challenge of content would be addressed, the governor disclosed that new transmitters to enhance mainstreaming OGTV on the Global Superhighway, a transformer and two generators have been installed for smooth operations.

Speaking at the foundation laying of the digital studio, the governor assured that come December 25, 2018, the studio would be commissioned.

Earlier in his welcome address, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Otunba Dayo Adeneye, said apart from the migration, efforts are ongoing by the government to provide the station with additional digital equipment, in order to meet up with best practices in the industry.

In their separate goodwill messages, the Minister for Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, Chairman, Multi Choice in Nigeria, Otunba Dewunmi Ogunsanya and the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, uunanimously attested to the fact that the event is the reality of the vision of the governor.
