A circular signed by the state Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, stated that the career elongation was approved and would be sustained as a state policy, as it would engender career development, as well as enhance productivity of the teachers at the basic education level.

‘’I wish to refer to the above subject and convey the attached approval of this Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun GON, FCA, in respect of the career elongation of Graduate Teachers in the State Primary Schools beyond grade level 14, for your information and implementation’’, the circular stated.

Reacting, the Board Secretary, Ogun State Universal Education Board, Mr. Olalekan Kuye, appreciated the State government’s timely policy, noting that the gesture would boost the productivity, confidence and further encourage self-development of primary school teachers.

He urged beneficiaries to be more focused, diligent, and responsible in the discharge of their duties, in order to justify the laudable gesture.
